ZERO POINT INTRODUCES WELLNESS PROGRAM
CHALLENGING EMPLOYEES TO ACCOMPLISH PERSONAL FITNESS GOALS
Recently Zero Point launched a company Wellness Program, promoting fitness and consuming a healthy diet. In a move to support employees with conquering their goals, the company decided to challenge staff to “Do it and do it NOW!” as Chief Administrative Officer and resident fit mom Stacy Sasnett told the team at Zero Point.
Zero Point made it very clear that the health and the wellness of each and every employee in the company is important. In fact, not only did the company want to inspire employees to reach their goals, but it also wanted to provide a supportive environment in which each individual is able to exceed their goals. Stacy stated, “We believe that health, happiness, and productivity are related concepts and feel that a good program can foster all three”.
How did Zero Point get started on the Wellness Program?
Zero Point put together a committee consisting of various representatives from each department in the organization and brainstormed different ways that the company could challenge individuals while providing a positive, fun, and determined mindset and engaging in a friendly competition. This is a huge undertaking for the company which consist of a very diverse team of individuals from various walks of life and different locations around the states.
Examples of challenges include walking 10,000 steps a day, hydrating more frequently, clean eating, a couch to 5K, smoking cessation, biking, and weight-loss to name a few.
The committee kicked off the program by introducing its purpose and sending out an interest survey. Respondents’ replies will help to formulate any changes that might help make the program even more of a success down the line.
The Wellness Challenge is completely voluntary and a pilot program will go live on February 1ST 2017. Though the challenge is not required, the company plans to offer some incentives to help motivate participants to reach their goals. Check back weekly to see how the Zero Point Wellness Challenge is progressing.
